I’m a Staff Research Scientist with Google DeepMind where I work on getting the best AI into the hands of the best creators to tell otherwise impossible stories.
Beyond my primary research, I hold several roles in the AI and creative ecosystem:
- Associate Industry Member at Mila - the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute in Montreal, Canada.
- Lab Scientist with the Creative Destruction Lab, supporting massively scalable science-based startups.
- Improviser with Rapid Fire Theatre and Improbotics, exploring the stage alongside machines.
During my Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta with the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), I interned at:
- Google Brain & Magenta
- Apple
Prior to my work in CS, I completed my Masters and Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alberta.
