Summary

add status/version command macros
shorten ESP command tokens and add ESP version query
document new ESP interface commands
update command parser for new constants
log ESP command finalization progress
mark protocol tasks done in TODO

Testing

make test_all (fails: gui_test dependency download blocked; fallback used)
