1️⃣ Insight Smart Insights

On the Insight page of the homepage, the left side displays your browsing activity timeline, while the right side generates smart insights based on these activities in real-time. The system automatically analyzes your browsing patterns, content preferences, and focus areas to provide personalized insight suggestions, helping you discover hidden information and trends.

2️⃣ Daily Picks

The system automatically generates personalized curated content daily based on your browsing history and activity patterns. Including activity summaries, important information reminders, knowledge cards, etc., helping you quickly understand the key information of the day. The default generation time is 8:30 the next day, which you can modify in the settings.

3️⃣ Floating Ball Assistant

On any webpage, click the floating ball in the bottom right corner to quickly access LifeContext features. The floating ball provides a convenient entry point, allowing you to interact with the AI assistant anytime without leaving the current page.

4️⃣ Smart Chat

Click the floating ball to open the chat window and have natural conversations with AI. The AI can understand the content of the page you're browsing and combine your browsing history, activity records, and contextual information to provide accurate answers, summaries, or suggestions.

5️⃣ Privacy Protection

In the extension settings, you can flexibly configure privacy protection options. Support adding URL blacklists to block websites you don't want recorded with one click; you can also view, search, or delete saved browsing records at any time, giving you complete control over your data privacy.

📋 Prerequisites

1️⃣ Python Environment

• Install Miniconda or Anaconda
• Make sure the conda command is available

2️⃣ Node.js Environment

• Install Node.js (version 18 or higher recommended)
• Ensure both node and npm commands are available

🛠️ Backend & Frontend Setup

1️⃣ Configure the LLM and Vector Services

📦 Navigate to the backend directory and copy the .env.example file as .env:

cd backend
cp .env.example .env

✅ Fill in your API in the newly created .env file. Example configuration:

Run the scripts inside your activated Conda environment:

deploy.bat

To stop all services:

stop.bat

Linux / macOS

Grant execute permissions on first use:

chmod +x deploy.sh stop.sh

🧩 Browser Extension Configuration

1️⃣ Import the Browser Extension

📦 Follow these steps:

1. Open your browser (recommended: Chrome or Edge).
2. Go to the Manage Extensions page and enable Developer Mode (top-right corner).
3. Click Load unpacked extension and select the folder ./Extension/extension in the project directory.
4. Once loaded, the extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar.
5. After enabling the extension, you may disable Developer Mode for better security.
