Matatu! Card Game

Welcome to Matatu!, a card game traditionally played in Uganda.

Objective

The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.

Rules

• Players can play a card if it matches the rank or suit of the top card on the pile.
• If a player doesn't have a card to play, they must pick up a card from the deck.
• If the picked up card can be played, the player can play it.
• If the picked up card cannot be played, the player must keep it and let the next player play.
• The game is played in rounds, and the first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.

How to Play

1. Setup:

   • Pick a game mode.
   • Enter your name.

2. Gameplay:

   • The player to the left of the dealer goes first.
   • Players take turns clockwise.
   • On their turn, a player can play a card from their hand that matches the rank or suit of the top card on the pile.
   • If a player cannot play a card, they must pick up a card from the deck.
   • If the picked up card can be played, the player can immediately play it.
   • If not, the player keeps the card, and it's the next player's turn.
   • The game continues until one player successfully gets rid of all their cards.

3. Winning:

   • The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.
   • The game can be played over multiple rounds, and the overall winner is the player with the most round wins.
