Hey, if (type !== 'html') {
md.renderer.rules.html_block = function (tokens, idx) {
var html = tokens[idx].content;
html = html.replace(/<img\s+([^>]*?)src=["']([^"']+)["']([^>]*)>/gi, function (match, before, src, after) {
var href = convertImgPath(src, filename);
return `<img ${before}src="${href}"${after}>`;
});
return html;
};
}(full disclosure : this code is ai generated) |

….md/todo.md
Static verification (all pass):
- 0 PlantUML references in codebase
- 0 PNG/JPEG export code references
- 0 mermaidServer references
- 0 installChromium/createBrowserFetcher references
- sanitizeContent, markdownItKaTeX, Mermaid inline, waitForFunction all present
- npm audit --omit=dev: 0 production vulnerabilities
Fixes found during audit:
- Remove leftover PNG/JPEG when-conditions from commandPalette block in package.json
(missed during Phase 1.3 — only editor/context menus were cleaned, not commandPalette)
- Fix stale comment in extension.js ("pdf, html, png, jpeg" → "pdf or html")
PR yzane#399 fix (PDF/HTML rendering consistency):
- Root cause: waitUntil:'networkidle0' does not wait for Mermaid async SVG rendering
- PDF captured raw Mermaid text; HTML (browser-rendered) showed diagrams correctly
- Fix: page.waitForFunction() polls until all .mermaid divs have data-processed attr
- 10s timeout with graceful fallback so non-Mermaid docs are unaffected
Test documents created in test-docs/:
- basic.md — headings, paragraphs, lists, task lists, blockquotes
- code.md — syntax highlighting: JS, TS, Python, shell, JSON
- tables.md — simple, aligned, wide, formatted tables
- math.md — KaTeX inline ($) and display ($$) math
- mermaid.md — flowchart, sequence, class, gantt, state diagrams
- security-xss.md — XSS payload test for DOMPurify verification
Docs fully updated:
- CLAUDE.md: complete rewrite covering all sessions and phases 1.2–1.6,
architectural decisions log, branching strategy, known gotchas
- todo.md: all completed phase items checked, manual VSCode tests listed
as remaining items with test-docs/ file references

This issue #384 is caused by the fact that cheerio automatically adds closing tags for unclosed opening tags. However, when processing HTML fragments with html_block, the input HTML may not always be a complete document.
This leads to situations where:
is processed into:
The issue arises because cheerio assumes that any unclosed tags should be properly closed, which can cause unexpected behavior when working with incomplete HTML fragments.
